Job Summary

Overview We're seeking a passionate Software Automation Development Manager to join our Entertainment Experiences team, to help lead the automated and manual testing efforts on XClass TV, which is developed by Comcast in collaboration with Hisense. XClass TV has an integrated interface and voice remote to access customer's favorite live and on demand streaming content from hundreds of apps and services. The Role In this role you will be leading an exceptional group of junior and senior QA/Automation engineers, as well as managing the test release activities, defect triage, advancing automation frameworks/scripts, E2E performance etc., This role requires close collaboration with other Squad QAs, Development, Product, Program and Customer teams to provide recommendations and implement process improvements as deemed necessary. The ideal candidate will have experience leading QA/Automation teams that execute applications with highest quality, fully accessible and have the necessary monitoring in place.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and career guidance to Engineers on the
- Drive Scrums, Sprint planning and Bug scrubs etc.,
- Prioritize and delegate automation and testing activities during build
release cycles
- Work with the development and product management teams to
understand new requirements and create automation user stories
- Architect creative solutions to complex automation problems and
identifies viable test strategies to support testing product
- Benchmark and recommend improvements to build performance
across features
- Investigate patterns of issues being reported by customers and
trending in analytics data to reproduce problems and get them
- Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters
of significance

Attributes for Success
- Eight years of strong experience with leading different QA/Automation
- Two years of experience working with Cucumber, Cypress, JavaScript
- Experience maintaining build processes and CI/CD pipelines
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for application quality
- A passion for learning and adapting to new tools/technologies
- Solid verbal and written communication skills


Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
