Senior Emergency Department Nurse

Work Shift: Day (United States of America)

The Senior Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for coordinating and managing the care of assigned patients, overseeing the caregiving team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, evaluating diagnostic tests, and creating and executing comprehensive patient care plans. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in nursing, a current NYS Registered Nurse license, and certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, as well as a strong knowledge of patient care quality improvement, is required.

The Emergency Department at Albany Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and regional referral center serving patients of all ages 24/7. It features distinct zones for different types of care, along with specialized facilities for radiology, decontamination, and a satellite lab. The Senior Emergency Department Nurse will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to patients in this dynamic and challenging environment.
