Respiratory Therapy Practitioner

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs respiratory therapy modalities as ordered by physician, develops care plans based on assessment data, sets up and monitors mechanical ventilation, administers medications, and documents patient therapies and concerns.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program
• RRT or CRT from the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current license from the State of Connecticut
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Optional: NRP, NALS, PALS, ACLS, PFT certifications

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of one year of skilled respiratory experience within the last two years
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced patient care environment

COMPETENCIES:

• Strong focus on customer service and empathy
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation
