RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey†s largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Anesthesiologists for Full time employment opportunities with call required at Jersey City Medical Center for general and cardiac anesthesiologists at the main hospital, as well a non-call taking position at our neighboring ASC on campus.

A mere two miles from downtown Manhattan and a burgeoning urban Mecca in its own right, Jersey City offers the chance to practice in a highly sought-after area just minutes away from the New York City skyline, top-notch schools, famous restaurants, and state of the art shopping centers. You will be joining a group of 11 anesthesiologists and 28 CRNAs. This is an excellent position for anesthesiologists who would like to maintain their full range of skills in trauma cases at a level 2 trauma center, obstetrics and regional anesthesiology, and enjoy the benefits of a 330-bed hospital with abundant support from the hospital administration.


We are very pleased to offer very competitive compensation and PTO packages. Fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologists will receive an extra stipend. Additional bonuses for quality, retention and call taking physicians are offered, and a robust benefits package including health, life, disability, and malpractice insurance, 401k/retirement, plus PTO and added time off for CME.


Successful candidates must be:
• ABA board-certified or board-eligible for new graduates
• Completed Anesthesiology residency (open to subspecialty and fellowship training as well)
• Willing to participate in required on-call schedules
• NJ licensed or eligible for licensure in NJ (candidates with a NJ license will be preferred at this time)

Newly graduating residents and fellows are encouraged to apply to this role. Please note that current trainees can earn up to $24,000 with the Resident/Fellowship stipend program if they choose to join RWJBH during the final year of training!
