The Medical Laboratory Technician Coordinators will manage complex laboratory operations, with responsibility for the quality of the work of their peers, proper maintenance of laboratory conditions, ensuring safety procedures, equipment, and supplies, files and records. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all issues related to all equipment and apparatuses, as well as making sure to maintain all working equipment. The Medical Laboratory Technician Coordinator will ensure the lab is meeting regulations for accrediting organizations, CLIA and other State regulatory requirements. The Medical Laboratory Technician Coordinator will be in charge of training and orientation of staff, as well as ongoing education as needed within the lab. Other duties specific to certain roles will be discussed when gauged interest.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Medical Technology program
- MLS, MLT, MT, or CLS registration required through the ASCP
- Prior experience working in several medical laboratory areas strongly preferred
