Our client is currently seeking an IT Operations Support Engineer for a multi-year contract engagement with the possibility of converting to a direct hire.
BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science
Expert administration/engineering skills in virtualized technologies
Responding to client support requests.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Supporting user needs related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, VOIP phones and the like for both in office and home/remote office needs
Addressing user requests and following up to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution
Provisioning, configuring, delivering, and setting up equipment, ensuring proper functionality and connectivity of all devices, and participating in equipment moves and changes
Participating in asset management and control activities
Working in concert with internal IT teams to ensure the highest level of service delivery to user community
Assist in gathering and documenting user and process requirements.
Experience with app Locker (big plus)
Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
Advising on software or hardware upgrades. (e.g. Patch Management)
Troubleshooting and analyzing hardware and software technical tickets and requests
Work experience (Creating, Modifying, Administrating) with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.
Including SAN configuration
Work experience (Creating, Modifying, Administrating) with AWS or Azure Virtualized Environments.
Troubleshooting networking and connection issues.
Network trouble shooting and experience with protocols like TCP/IP and telnet
Working knowledge of Active Directory and LDAP.
Working knowledge of Firewalls, ACL tables, & VPN
Working experience with SQL Server (Oracle big plus)
Working experience using a report writer such as Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services.
Working knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS).
