ESY Elementary Paraprofessional - Braintree

AIMS & ABLES Program

We are seeking Elementary Paraprofessionals to support our Extended School Year (ESY) AIMS and ABLES Program. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in special education who are interested in summer work supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Position Details - Braintree, MA

  • Openings: 10

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday

  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 12:15 PM (25 hours per week)

  • Contract Length: 6 weeks

  • Start Date: June 29, 2026

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom and 1:1 support to elementary students enrolled in the AIMS and ABLES ESY Program

  • Assist with implementation of academic, behavioral, and functional goals

  • Support students using ABA-based strategies and AAC devices

  • Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure student success

Qualifications

  • Prior special education experience required

  • Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred

  • Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices strongly preferred

  • Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required

  • Teacher license/certification, as applicable by state, contract or district

  • One year of experience, preferred

  • Willingness and ability to accept direct responsibility for safety, wellbeing, or work output of other people

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
