Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests and assists with the integration of new applications. Documents all development activity. Assists with training non-technical personnel. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

As a software Engineer you will work with a complementary team of architects, software engineers, product owners, service delivery engineers, and care-agents to develop, document, and deploy the software that delivers a superior customer care experience to Comcast residential, business, and sales agents across the world.

The E360 Delivery team is a fast paced group of elite specialists who are innovating accessible, efficient UX design that boosts agent and customer satisfaction scores. We are a team that solves big challenges, provides results, focuses on quality, and value agility.

Who does the E360 engineer work with?

E360 software architects collaborate with engineers from many teams: software engineers within E360 and across Comcast. An E360 architect also engages with quality assurance engineers, technical operators, architects, and product owners daily and senior leaders of the organization occasionally.

Your code will deliver the product that serves millions of Comcast customers all day, every day. The modules you design and build will enable product features that are pioneering the next generation of customer care products. You can help influence technology standards with real world lessons learned by being a first implementer. Replace expensive vendor provided solutions with better, more stable, more scalable, more operable platforms, and see that your individual contributions will have multi-million-dollar impacts to the bottom line. And that is just the beginning. We have just begun development on the next evolution of our platform, which will use an upgraded technology stack to provide highly available, accessible, role customizable, and CMS-driven content across channels on both mobile and web platforms.


  • Design new software applications, support applications under development, and customize existing applications. Develop software update process for existing applications. Assist in the rollout of software releases including testing automation and improvement.

  • Design, document, and maintain diagrams for systems, processes, interfaces, and scheduling.

  • Collaborates with project customers to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.

  • Diagnose performance issues and propose and implement code improvements

  • Prove scalability with load generating tools

  • Ensure the software architecture is lean and extensible

  • Ensure software modules are reliable for reuse

  • Works with Quality and Performance Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification needs.

Here are some of the specific technologies we use for in E360:

  • Front end: Angular, React, NGRX, SASS, Prism, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CSS3; Layout rendering from SiteCore,

  • Middle Tier: Kotlin, GraphQL, , Microsoft .NET technology stack tools and IDEs (C# programming language preferred).

  • NoSQLCache/Backend: Couchbase, MS SQL

  • Automation/CodeQuality: TestCafe, Jest, Protractor, SonarQube, lighthouse, ARC, AxCore, CICD using Concourse

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent. 5-7 years directly related experience may be considered in-lieu of degree(s)

  • Fluency in web application development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks to solve UI problems.

  • Expertise with semantic markup, responsive design, and CSS 3 web layout models such as Flexbox.

  • Comfortable with (or willing to learn) Microsoft .NET technology tools, Kotlin

  • Competence in SASS, Angular and React development, and Storybook.

  • At least 4 years' software development experience with a recent focus on cloud computing (preferably Azure)

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment

  • Good communicator; able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly

  • A strong bias for automation

  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take accountability.

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
