Clinical Nurse II: Medical Cardiology

The Clinical Nurse II in the Medical Cardiology unit is responsible for coordinating patient care, administering medication, performing treatments and procedures, and documenting treatment when necessary. They assess, evaluate, and manage patient needs throughout the care process, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care is provided. Additionally, they collaborate with the nursing team, maintain professional standards, and continuously seek to improve their nursing practice through education and training.

Minimum qualifications include a graduate nursing degree, current NYS RN license, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred. Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving tools is essential.
