An accredited acute care hospital located in southern Maryland is currently searching for an experienced Assistant Nurse Director Central Support and Nursing Float Pool to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This full-service acute care hospital is home to nearly 200 licensed beds and proudly services more than one million residents of the southern Maryland region each year. This established medical destination cares for more than 50,000 emergency visits and 12,000 admission each year. The Assistant Nurse Director will join a medical center that offers a number of specialties including internal medicine, behavioral health, oncology and cancer care, advanced surgical services, cardiovascular and pulmonary services, and women's health among many others.
Under limited supervision, the Assistant Nurse Director will oversee and manager central support services and patient placement within the entire hospital. The Assistant Nurse Director will regularly collaborate with the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and other Specialty area teams to strategize and coordinate appropriate patient placement. The Assistant Nurse Director will assume all bed control functions related to diagnosis, isolation needs, and level of care requirements. This role is also responsible for the prioritization and triage of bed assignments throughout the hospital, facilitate all admission and discharge or transfer functions, and performs quality assurance initiatives related to patient throughput.
- Associates degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree BSN preferred
- Registered Nurse RN license in the state of Maryland
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive clinical leadership experience
