Overview

As an Assistant Manager in Restaurant Operations, you will support the Restaurant Manager and help create memorable guest experiences while driving operational excellence. In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, you will take over their responsibilities and help foster a positive and productive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all team member duties effectively.
  • Facilitate team meetings alongside the Restaurant Manager.
  • Lead Brand Training Programs, overseeing scheduling, training, validation, and certification of the team.
  • Ensure adherence to Brand standards, recipes, and operational systems.
  • Promote a guest-focused culture within the restaurant.
  • Analyze guest feedback and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate restaurant priorities and results to the team.
  • Assist in executing new product rollouts, including training and marketing initiatives.
  • Set up Point of Purchase displays according to Brand standards.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment by following all safety and health regulations.
  • Manage costs effectively to maximize profitability.
  • Conduct periodic inventory assessments as directed by the Franchisee.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in creating a weekly labor schedule to ensure proper staffing.
  • Assist with assigning staff and deployment as needed.
  • Help with supplier and vendor orders.
  • Conduct self-assessments and develop corresponding action plans.
  • Ensure restaurant budget goals are met as set by the Franchisee.
  • Monitor cash handling and ensure adherence to cash management policies.
  • Engage with the Dunkin' Brands Field Operations team as necessary.

Management Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop restaurant team members.
  • Assist in performance appraisals for team members and shift leads.
  • Coach team members to enhance sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction.

Education/Experience:

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Basic understanding of math and financial management.
  • Previous leadership experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality environments.
