The Acute Care Rehabilitation Services Nursing Manager will oversee the rehabilitation unit located in the hospital. This unit offers comprehensive treatment for patients who are recovering from serious illness, surgery, trauma and other injuries that may require 24-hour rehabilitative nursing. Patients in the unit have access to an array of specialists, including a Rehabilitation Services team that is made up of Rehab physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapists, and Speech Therapists, and ancillary staff.
Reporting to the Service Line Director, the Acute Care Rehabilitation Services Nursing Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the unit, overseeing day-to-day operations, updating policy procedures, ensuring state and regulatory compliance, and department staffing which includes scheduling, payroll, disciplinary action, evaluations, and assisting with the hiring process.
The Acute Care Rehabilitation Services Nursing Manage will be a registered nurse with prior clinical experience working in an acute care rehabilitation unit. Additionally, Acute Care Rehabilitation Services Nursing Manager should have prior management experience, and hold their Bachelor's degree.
